Grand Christmas Raffle 'This will be drawn at the party. We will start handing tickets out on 5th November. First Prize 100, and there will be at least 14 other prizes. The cist is 1 a book. Please try to sell as many as possible to your family and friends, as this really is an easy way to raise money for parish funds. Lists will also go up that weekend asking for raffle prizes. If you can help in this way please put your name on the list against the prize you would like to donate. Your support is appreciated. Any queries please contact Jenny on 671217. All of these events are organised by Team Felix.'

Parish Survey Phil Dance, Chairman of the Parish Advisory Council, writes : 'The Parish Survey has been completed and collated. Around 90 completed surveys were returned, and the good news is that 77% of those responding were happy or very happy with the Service and the atmosphere at the Sunday Mass. There were some offerings of items to improve, and these are being actioned as appropriate. Thanks to all who completed the survey and let us continue to work together to make our good parish even better.'

DBS Refresh Phil, together with Anne, are the Safeguarding Officers for our parish. Phil writes :

'The Safeguarding team is in the process of renewing the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) registration for all volunteers in the parish. We wrote to all volunteers earlier this year to confirm their willingness to continue, and to advise of the need to refresh their certificates. Would all volunteers kindly email since an email address is required to start the process. Individuals who do not have email should let me know via the Presbytery so that I can help make other arrangements. The refresh process will start next month and we hope to conclude the exercise early in the New Year.'

Safeguarding Training Phil adds 'The Catholic Church is committed to providing an atmosphere of safety for all in the community, especially children and vulnerable adults. To help generate a culture of Safeguarding across the community, especially with those working as volunteers within the Church, a training programme has been devised which is available on line. All are encouraged to make use of this free resource, and leaflets describing the training are available at the back of the church. The training material is free and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.'
