THE POSADA

This figure of Mary & Joseph travelling to Bethlehem for the birth of Our Lord will be blessed at the end of the 9.30am Mass today, and will begin its journey from house to house in the parish during Advent. If you would like it to come to your house, please put your name and 'phone number down on the rota in the Porch at St.Felix. The Posada will be brought to you by the people from its previous stop, and you in turn then pass it on the next day. If there is a gap, return it to the Presbytery. On the evening that the Posada is with you, maybe place candles and evergreens around it, and try to gather together a few friends - including non-Catholics and lapsed Catholics - for light refreshments. Then together use the short prayers which you will find by the rota in the porch. Take as many copies as you think you will need.

THE NEW STONE LECTERN

The stone Lectern, which will complete the re-ordering of the Sanctuary, and which is being given anonymously by two generous parishioners, will be put in place this coming week. The Bishop is coming to bless the work on Sunday December 18th, at an 11.0an Mass. The stonemasons will be working on Tuesday and Friday, and whilst the times of Lauds and Mass will remain the same as usual, there will be some disruption to our normal programme : there will not be Exposition and Benediction on Tuesday, and on Friday, Rosary will be in the Presbytery, and not in church.
