Money Matters Last Sunday 610.46 was given at the offertory, and a further 276.11 for CAFOD. Next Sunday there will be a special collection for the people who are suffering so greatly as a result of the catastrophic flooding in Kerula.

Apostleship of the Sea Barbara writes 'The next Mass at the Seafarers Centre will be on Tuesday September 4th at 7.0pm. All welcome.

Suffolk Refugee Service Barbara further writes

'Thanks to all who contribute. Please see letter of appreciation from Rebecca on the noticeboard at the back of church.'

Can you help? Catherine writes 'If you live in the Trimley area and attend Mass at St.Felix on Saturday night would you have space in your car for one or two parishioners? It would not be every week as someone else is already helping when they can. If you can help please call me on the Helping Hands telephone number 07342722521. If you don't live in the Trimleys but would still like to help it would be great to hear from you.'

Third Time of Asking I've still only got one name for Confirmation next year (beginning preparation this Autumn.) Is there anyone else, I wonder? Candidates need to be over thirteen years old by next June. If there are others, I would like to know as soon as possible, please.

Adult Baptism/Reception If you are not already Catholic, would you like to come into the Church? One or two adults have already expressed interest in being prepared for entrance next Easter. Are there others? Please talk to me about it if you are interested.

THE RIDE AND STRIDE

This takes place a week on Saturday, Sep- tember 8th : please see below for what is proposed in our parish. It is an excellent way to raise money for our church - 50% of what we collect from sponsorship goes to the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust, the promoter of the event, to help with the repair of all the churches in the county, and 50% comes to our own church. Last year we undertook the proposed walk to the Twelve Churches in Felixstowe, and I think all of us who took part thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't too arduous - we didn't hurry - and it was interesting to see inside the other churches and to meet their people. Why don't YOU join in this year?

If you can, please collect a sponsorship form from the back of church, and then get down to asking members of your family and friends to sponsor you. I'm planning to lead the walk again this year, and since you are my family I'm asking whether you would be so kind as to sponsor me? I'll have my form with me after Mass, so please tell me if you can give me your support.

Meanwhile Teresa, our parish organiser, writes

'Can you spare an hour of your time on Saturday 8th September to sit in the Church Porch at St.Felix to take names and sign forms for the people taking part in the Suffolk Churches Ride and Stride? If so, please put your name on the list on the notice board, ideally two names per hour.'
