Cribfest Grundisburgh 2018 This Crib festival will take place at Grundisburgh Anglican Church November 22nd-25th, and will feature several hundred cribs from around the world. The theme this year is Follow the Star. Entrance is free, but donations are invited.

We're now in November, the month in the year when we give special attention to prayer for those who have died. They need our prayers now, as they are being prepared to enter into the presence of God, just as they needed our prayers during their life here on earth. We can really help our departed friends and relatives in this way - it's good to feel that we can do so, and it is an act of charity towards them.

There are one or two special moments in the course of this month. The first of course is All Souls Day, which occurred last Friday. That day, November 2nd, is the focus of our prayer for the dead made throughout the year. And then next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday, when we think particularly of those who have died in Battle - asking that they may rest in light and peace. Finally, on Friday 16th - a week on Friday - the 11.0am Mass will be a Requiem for those whose remains are buried in the Memorial Garden, and at the end of Mass we will go outside to bless the burial places there.

But good if, during this month, we make special mention of the departed in our ordinary daily prayers, as we will in the intercessions at our daily Masses. We will be doing a good and worthwhile thing.

A reminder that the Bishop will be with us a fortnight today, November 18th, to bless the new stained glass windows. The artist, Tom Denny, and his wife will also be coming, from Dorset, to join us. That weekend, the 6.0pm Saturday Mass will be as normal, but on Sunday morning there will only be the one Mass, at St.Felix, at 11.0am. We should all gather around our Bishop when he is amongst us.
