CAFOD Boni and Kate Pinto write 'CAFOD's Family Fast Day this Lent is an opportunity to support our brothers and sisters around the world. Drought, floods and storms are having a devastating impact on our global family. On Friday 15th March can you eat simply in solidarity with those who have little and give what you save to help them? Through CAFOD's global church network, (they reach 165 countries worldwide) your support can reach to the ends of the earth. Please find attached to your newsletter a Family Fast Day envelope and give what you can. Each Friday during Lent, following the midday Mass, we will be holding a simple soup lunch to raise further funds. This has been a parish tradition for many years. Previously run by the CWL, members of the parish have now taken on the role and with your support we hope it will continue to be a success. Thank you for supporting CAFOD's work, Boni and Kate.'

Catholic Clothing Guild Elizabeth Utting writes 'The Catholic Clothing Guild (CCG) collects items of clothing and money for various charities including Apostleship of the Sea, Samaritan's Purse and Gatehouse (support for families in need). Members give two new garments and a donation of 2 or simply a donation. We will be taking items from the parish to a meeting on 1st May. If you have supported the Guild in the past, or would like to, please let me have any contributions by 27th/28th April. Last year we collected over 200 items and it would be good to continue this support.

World Day of Prayer 2019 Helen Riddell writes 'St Felix hosted the World Day of Prayer Service on Friday 1st March 2019 at 12 noon followed by Hunger Lunch in the hall. It was felt that the Service ran very smoothly and thank you to all who assisted in a variety of ways. The lunch raised 227.87 in support of Christian Aid. The collection taken during the Service raised 421.53 and this will go direct to the WDP organisation for their charities.

World Day of Prayer Representative Helen Riddell writes 'I am currently the World Day of Prayer representative for St Felix and have held the post for over three years after which period the WDP recommends that the post be offered to another. If anyone would be prepared to take over the role please let me know.'
