HOLY WEEK 2019
Parish of St.Felix
Felixstowe
Each year, the keeping of Holy Week gives us a special opportunity to enter into the saving actions of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and thereby to experience afresh his great love for us, and for all people.
A Holy Week kept well and fully gives us a remarkable renewal in faith ; a deepened devotion to our crucified and risen Saviour, and a determination to respond more completely to His love, which blazes out in the course of our redemption.
We seek in Holy Week to lay aside as far as possible our normal preoccupations, and give this week to Our Lord as fully and as generously as we can. Certainly we aim to be present at the four great Liturgies of Holy Week, on Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday. These Liturgies succeed one another like the acts in a great drama, and they need to be experienced as a whole if they are to make the maximum impact upon us.
